As part of V-Europe's new 'Inspire & Discover program', various activities and workshops are being offered to victims, made possible thanks to our partners and the generous support of the Fédération Wallonie-Bruxelles.
A third session of the 'Horses and Nature' Workshop took place on Saturday afternoon, April 28, 2024, at "Le Voyage d'Ulysse," located at 'Verba Gardens' in Tombeek.
This time, two families were welcomed by Catherine and Isabelle from 'Le Voyage d'Ulysse'. The families were invited to meet the horses and, first and foremost, get acquainted. The children enjoyed petting and brushing the horses, and time was also set aside for everyone to pause and do a 'body scan'.
Subsequently, the task was to set up a course and follow it together with their chosen horse. The children's enthusiasm was high, although they sometimes encountered the stubbornness of the horse. As a family, they supported each other to successfully complete the course each time.
In addition to the shared family moments, space was also created for parents to have their own personal experience with the horses as individuals, during which suppressed emotions emerged.
The day concluded with an amazing experience that will stay with them for a long time, holding significant meaning both for the family as a whole and for each of them as individuals.
